Tom Curran, Community Relations Coordinator

Tom completed Cabrini Ministry Training in March 2004 and joined that staff that June as the new Community Relations Coordinator.  Tom is responsible for developing and maintaining strong connections with parishes, institutions, and Church leadership, while also raising funds for Cabrini Ministry's special projects.  Never intending to leave his 37 year career in industrial sales when enrolling in the training, Tom felt called to complete his first resume ever in response to the job opening in March '04.  He brings great faith, salesmanship, and creativity to the challenges of the position.

He and his wife, Cynthia, are parents to five grown children and recently they both became part of the marriage prep team at St. Anthony's in Renton.  As an RCIA sponsor in 2003-2004 when Cynthia was going through RCIA, Tom was drawn deeper into his Church involvement and into Cabrini Ministry.  Golf, home projects, and a busy family life keep Tom out of mischief.  He would love to hear from students on how Cabrini can be more helpful at the parish level.

Lisa Dennison, Training and Ministerial Support Coordinator

Lisa coordinates the multi-faceted, on-going support system for active graduates of CMT.  She facilitates both a monthly ministerial support meeting, which offers continuing education presentations, and community-building events.  In addition, Lisa oversees Advanced Supervision, a powerful monthly small-group process led by a trained facilitator.  Lisa also publishes Cabrini's quarterly community newsletter, Extended Hands.  In addition, Lisa facilitates the noon class in Seattle while also overseeing the smooth operation of the training classes.

After fourteen years' experience with low-income issues such as homelessness and hunger, Lisa took the first Cabrini Ministry training in 1992.  She appreciates the depth and breadth of knowledge she obtained.

Lisa has a wonderful husband and two lovely daughters.  Besides time with her family, she also enjoys creating rituals and doing spiritual direction in the Ignatian tradition.
