The day came when I had to open my eyes and see everything.

Our next Continuing Ed meeting is TBA

One of Cabrini Ministry Training's strengths is its continuing education component. There are several ways that the program seeks to support and nurture its graduates. Continuing support is offered through the Extended Hands newsletter, a quarterly publication; monthly continuing education evenings (2nd Monday of the month); special events such as our annual picnic, day of prayer, and advent liturgy. Continuing Education also offers Pastoral Reflection Groups for ministers who wish to deepen their own spiritual experience.

Monthly Continuing Education

After the 5 month, weekly training, Cabrini graduates are strongly encouraged to come to monthly continuing education presentations. The evenings build community and provide valuable information on a variety of relevant topics, including: prayer, theological reflection, self-care, ethics, and identifying mental illness and addictions. Friends and family of Cabrini graduates are welcome to attend these evenings. Here is the schedule of the evening: We meet on the second floor or upstairs in room 411 of Cathedral Place , at the corner of Terry and Columbia and visit the News page for more information.

7:00-7:15 community gathers, get refreshments
7:15-7:30 announcements and prayer
7:30-9:00 Continuing Ed presentation

Extended Hands

Since November 1996, Extended Hands has been a quarterly newsletter to communicate information, prayer requests, and original works by Cabrini community members. Contributions from Cabrini trainees and graduates are always welcome (poems, prayers, short reflections) and can be e-mailed to lisad@cabriniministry.org. Newsletters come out usually in February, May, August and November. Click here for the current newsletter.

Special Events

Cabrini Ministry has a number of cherished annual community events- including the Community Picnic in August at the park near the Japanese Gardens at the Seattle Arboretum , a day of prayer and reflection on a Saturday in the fall, an Advent Liturgy and Potluck in December, among others. Visit the News page on this site for upcoming Cabrini events!!

Pastoral Reflection Groups

A wonderful opportunity for Cabrini trained ministers to grow more deeply in their ministry and relationship to God. There is a nominal fee for joining the groups- and the group commitment is for 6-7 months. A paid facilitator guides these small groups that meet once a month (meeting schedules are created by the group to accommodate everyone). If you are interested in such an experience, please call Lisa at 206-760-0583.
